our story
Tony and his wife, Heather, purchased the eatery at the Gainesville Marina in 2011, bringing their years of restaurant experience to Lake Lanier. Over the years the menu has evolved. From the very start we have been known for our variety of hand battered & made-to-order shrimp, fish and tenders and hand pattied Black Angus Burgers. Every entrée and side is made to order.

My favorite place for Sunday brunch! The vibes are so tropical and they even have live music sometimes. Love the colorful ambience and friendly staff! Buffet is always good and drinks are good too! Always a good time at Skogies!

We go by boat here all the time. Most recently on Saturday midday. Not super busy at that time which was great. Service was great and everything we ordered was delicious from burgers to blackened mahi. Great atmosphere and laid back dining!

Low key vibe and atmosphere, awesome food! We had boom boom shrimp, spicy crab cheese dip, patty melt w coke slaw and crab blt w sweet potato fries. EVERY SINGLE ITEM WAS DELICIOUS! Go there and enjoy. Drinks and peeps were good too.

Great atmosphere and food. Beer and wine only. They do not have a full bar. Nice to come by boat about 25 boat slips to park. Or you can come by car.
